By supporting HIV-positive sex workers and investing in their daughters’ education, we work to stop the cycle of mother-to-daughter prostitution and create lasting change for future generations
Breaking Barriers to Maternal Care
Poverty, stigma, and lack of access should never cost a life. We work to remove these barriers by bringing affordable, accessible healthcare services directly to the women who need them most.
From Risk to Resilience
In vulnerable communities, pregnancy can be life-threatening. Through access to antenatal care, skilled support, and health awareness, we help mothers move from risk to resilience.
Breaking Barriers to Maternal Care
Poverty, stigma, and lack of access should never cost a life. We work to remove these barriers by bringing affordable, accessible healthcare services directly to the women who need them most.
We work towards improving the health of sex workers in Uganda and breaking the vicious cycle of mother-to-daughter prostitution by establishing and running health cafés in red-light areas and providing education accessibility to their daughters.
We envision a Uganda where sex workers have access to quality healthcare and where daughters are no longer bound to the same cycle — supported by health cafés and improved access to education.
Through Her Tomorrow, we provide educational opportunities to daughters of HIV-positive sex workers — supporting primary, secondary, and higher education to break cycles of poverty and exploitation.
Rhythm of Life acknowledges that containing spread of and fatality resulting from HIV/AIDS requires the courage to tackle challenging social issues, the commitment to making long-term investments, and a preparedness to go beyond existing measures. As an organization, we view HIV/AIDS not only as a health problem, but also a product of — and exacerbated by — human rights violations. Since HIV/AIDS disproportionately affects the poorest, least educated, and most marginalized groups, our aim is to eliminate stigma and to empower those living with the virus.
